Coachella Valley & Salton Sea
Where Hearts & Paws Heal.
We rescue vulnerable dogs and stand beside the rescuers, fosters and advocates who save lives every day, building a safe and compassionate bridge from trauma to healing, from despair to home.
In partnership with Rescue Lyfe and The Animal Rescue Center of California.

Our mission
Legacy Healing Foundation was founded with a commitment to rescue vulnerable dogs and to stand beside the dedicated rescuers, fosters, and advocates who work tirelessly, often without recognition or compensation, to save lives every day.
We believe healing happens through compassion, collaboration, and community.
Our mission is to create a safe and compassionate bridge from trauma to healing, from despair to home, while strengthening the rescue community through meaningful partnerships, shared resources, advocacy, and foster support.
We are the healers in between—providing hope and second chances to vulnerable dogs while empowering the people who dedicate their hearts to saving them.
Because every life deserves healing, every rescuer deserves support, and together, we can save more lives.
Partnerships
We work alongside established rescues, who complete the adoptions.
Shared resources
Kennels, blankets, food, vet care and transport, shared with the rescuers and fosters who need them.
Advocacy
Speaking up for vulnerable dogs, and for the volunteers who carry the weight unseen.
Foster support
Supplies and backup for foster homes, so every dog has a soft place to land.
Our promise
- To the animals who have lost their way, we offer safety.
- To the hearts that have been broken, we offer healing.
- To the rescuers carrying the weight, we offer support.
- And to every life still waiting for a home, we offer hope.
How it works
The healers in between.
Rescues and fosters are stretched thin. We stand between the street and the adoption, so dogs arrive healthier and rescuers carry less.
Adoptions are completed by our partner rescues. When you apply here, we share your application with the rescue responsible for that dog.

Foster, adopt or pledge
Open your home, even for a few weeks.
Fostering is how a dog gets from the street to a family. We help with the kennel, blankets, food and vet care. You supply the couch.

For funders
Fund the healers in between.
Across the Coachella Valley and the Salton Sea, rescuers, fosters and advocates save dogs every day, most of them unpaid. Legacy Healing Foundation gives them partnership, shared resources and foster support. We are asking for seed funding for our first year.
